The collection consists of records of the Secretary of the UNCF, Edna Jones, from 1943-1977. The general files (1965) contain materials relating to prospective legacies, UNCF's second capital campaign, and amendments to UNCF's certificate of incorporation. The minutes (1943-1965) include minutes of the member institutions, Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and the 1943 exploratory meetings. The meeting files (1943-1965) include minutes, reports, transcripts, agenda books, and correspondence documenting the activities of UNCF's two governing bodies, the Members and the Board of Directors. The solicitation registrations and permits subseries (1955-1977) contains correspondence, forms, reports, financial statements, and permits documenting UNCF's registration in several cities and states while illustrating UNCF's local campaigns.
